Yogananda World-Community Tour, July 29th - September 5th, 2012
Join us this summer as we tour many Yogananda-inspired events, centers, and communities throughout California and Oregon, sharing sadhana, kirtan, service projects and adventures all along the way.
We start in Southern California July 29th at SRF's annual Convocation, one of the largest collection of Yogananda devotees on the planet. Over 4,000 souls from 47 different countries spend the entire week diving deep into the ocean of spirit. We’ll also visit many other shrines and centers in the area including Encinitas and Yogananda's Seaside Hermitage, his Crypt at Forrest Lawn, Lake Shrine, Ananda LA, the Soul of Yoga Center, Agape Church, and more.

Polestar will spend some time in Encinitas, hosting a kirtan at the "Golden Lotus Temple" and making time for beach fun and relaxation.
As we head North we’ll tour Sunburst Farms, a thriving intentional community founded by direct disciple of Yogananda, Norman Paulsen. Our group will play music at Ananda's Boulder Creek center, as well as the Living Tree Yoga studio in Santa Rosa, re-connecting with kindred spirits and sharing satsang.
The weekend of August 17th through the 19th Polestar will co-host a "Tahoe Family Campout Reunion". This event promises to be a total blast, bringing together many old faces and great memories.
We’ll arrive at Ananda Village in Northern California by August 19th, just in time for its annual “Spiritual Renewal Week”, or SRW. With inspiring classes, music, and sadhana, all held within the majesty of the Sierra Foothills and hosted by one of the most successful spiritual communities in the world, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The final leg of our journey will take us to the recently-begun Laurelwood Community near Portland, Oregon to celebrate their one year anniversary and Grand Opening. This ambitious project, which has immense potential as a community and educational center, is striving to overcome years of “deferred maintenance”. Bring your tool belt and plan on experiencing the joy of service!
